I haven't blogged since July. 4 AM seems like a pretty odd time to sit at a Computer, but here I am. We had a Family Meeting 3 weeks ago, just me and the kids. I gave them the options as presented to me. Stay here for at least two more years, or move back to the Lehigh Valley at the end of June.
The kids were unanimous: They want to go home.
When I packed us up and moved here, it was to make a clean break. It worked, but it had its repercussions. They have only seen their Dad twice. That is good and bad, but I think the separation really woke him up to what all his troubles meant to our kids. Our Son is 16 now, and wants to get his driver's license. I said he could get it this summer, if he gets a job.
Someone has to pay the insurance, and it won't be his Father or I.
So we are heading back to the Valley. My daughters can't wait to meet their new niece, Cassandra. I am happy to admit this, but I will be glad to be HOME.
